Friday
I picked Ktisune (~AkaiKitsune-Desu) and Riddelle (~Riddelle) from Kitsune's house promptly at four in the afternoon. One speeding ticket (to Riddelle), two pit-stops, and four hours later we arrived at Satsujinki's (no dA) house. Or rather, what we thought was his house. After a bit of confusion, Satsu met up with us and we headed into Arlington. Had I not been driving, I would have loved to taken photos of Old Town as we drove past it. Under the city lights, it had a wonderful atmosphere about it.
We arrived at the Mariott only to find that they did not have our reservation in their computer system. Turns out we played three worlds of Mariott Mario (We're sorry. Your hotel room is in another Mariott. Move along). Finally we found ourselves at the Courtyard Mariott safe and sound by about 11pm.
Satsu, Riddelle and myself attempted to sign in to our Artist Alley table that night, but since the AA ops had closed we were out of luck. The staff was helpful however and directed us to drop by on Saturday at 8:30am.
Saturday
We visited the head of Artist Alley, Allison Munoz, who was extremely helpful in setting us up with a table. Although our original table had been given away by Friday, she had saved an extra table that we set up beside Video Ops. Once our table had been claimed, we returned to our room for some last minute preparations.

As the day drew towards noon, Kitsune and myself readied ourselves for the Artist Alley and our Hitachiin cosplays; which take about an hour and a half to put on from start to finish between the two of us. Once all dolled up, the four of us headed down to the Artist Alley together and set up.

We definitely take pride in our AA table looking like an acid trip.

Sadly we don't have a photo of Satsujinki, since he was our resident photographer this con and he spent most of Saturday afternoon playing his violin by our table! Kitsune and I were kept pretty busy between photo requests and selling our wares, however we conversed a bit with a fellow at Video Ops (who we would eventually come to know as Dan) in-between waves of customers. However, as the afternoon dragged on we began to grow quite the appetites, so Dan was nice enough to escort us to a local Chinese restaurant (Commoner's food!) a few blocks from the con hotel. On our way out, we met up with Satsu and Riddelle who joined our food crusade.

Sometime during the day (Saturday was long, and my memory is not that great) we were approached by Tono who was griping about our wasting the club's funds and his precious Haruhi. *sigh* Gee Tono, don't you know that Kyouya-senpai is in charge of club funds? However we made peace, and Tono even bestowed us dew-kissed roses.

Here we are dealing some tough love to Tono after he fought with another set of twins over Haruhi, of course

... everyone knows Haruhi is our toy.

But then again, we had to give Hunny-senpai his fair share of torture as well!

Group shot from the photoshoot!
We twins certainly dominated the group this time.
The photoshoot was fun, but we soon felt the strain of our cosplay from throughout the day, so we decided to call it a day for the twins and retire to our rooms for some R&R, before returning to the AA table for the rest of the night. However, even on the way out of the door we got asked for photos.

And with that we retired to our room (during most of the afternoon Riddelle and Satsu looked after our table, thanks guys!). As I mentioned earlier it takes about an hour and a half to put on the twins cosplay, well it only takes about five minutes to shed the costume.
Once we had successfully shed our cosplay, rested and re-dressed, we made our way back to the table. Most of the night boiled down to kicking back with the Video Ops crew, hanging with other attendee's and doing a little business.

Satsu managed to get this picture of one of the Video Ops guys Dan (left, obviously) with another skeleton!

Possibly one of my favorite photos from the convention; Prom God (left) and Satsujinki (right).

Now, Prom God and his merry band were certainly a highlight for us at the table. Since we were pretty hunkered down while selling our wares, we were a trifle limited in how much we saw the rest of the con until folks stopped by our table. Satsu approached this fellow for a photo (above), and afterwards he and a few others stopped for a pretty moment by our little squat by Video Ops. Like so many others at AUSA this year, we didn't catch Prom Gods real name so we dubbed him with our nickname based on an attempt to figure out what his costume was supposed to be (even he was a bit unsure). However he did note that the corset offered two convenient pockets.

PokéSnap! Two Gijinka that stopped by our booth whom had their photo taken by Satsu.
Soon after the above photo, someone encouraged Satsu to check out the rave. Now dear readers, please be aware that Satsu is generally a mild-mannered highschooler who loves all second to his violin. However after disappearing for a good twenty minutes, Riddelle and myself began to wonder what became of the kid.

That is how we all ended up raving (my first time since about four years ago).

Amidst the impossibly loud electronic pulse, flashing neon lights and energetic dance groups we found our little (albeit he's quite tall) Satsu raving with the best of them. No sooner had we found Satsu, then we were each handed two glow sticks a piece. Being the ham that I am, I tried to bounce around the best I could.

Amazingly enough the only photo of me pulling a face during the weekend.

Jafar, one of the guys who frequented Video Ops, looking very worn out after dancing.
If I'm remembering correctly, he leant us our glow sticks, thanks man!
Although it was immensely fun, the rave was a very exhausting event so late at night after such a long day. We headed back to the table and chilled. Dan and I got to talk writing, music and all those great topics as I watched and sketched the crowd (sadly said doodles were destroyed by diet pepsi). Sometime during Saturday night (or was it Friday morning by that point?) I was introduced to Cyber Chief. Around 3am Riddelle and I headed back to our room (where Kitsune had already retired) to pick up some things and head back down. I decided to lay down while Riddelle took a shower, but the bed felt so comfortable that I ended up falling asleep in minutes.
Friday
Groggy and aching all over, yeah it was Friday morning. Although Kitsune and I had planned to do our Pokemon cosplay on Sunday, she wasn't feeling so Ash-like, so we decided to just go casual. To be honest, I don't remember much about Sunday except stopping by Naomi's (=Mikiri-Tsukiyo) AA table and purchasing some crazy adorable Pokemon stickers! We talked art some and exchanged contact info, though I'm afraid I wasn't all too awake that day so I wasn't very good for conversation.

The Video Ops Crew!
To the guys at Video Ops, thank you for feeding us. Also for conversing, and pretty much making our con all that much better! We'll be your neighbors anyday.
Also, to everyone who stopped by our table, we owe you a huge thank you! It was so much fun nerding out with you fellow PokéManiacs! Hearing stories from various attendee's and meeting so many different people was an overwhelming and amazing experience. Also, I'm so thankful to all the staff that helped us!
Until Next Time~!
