Artist's CommentsEven after the tremors stopped and objects stopped falling from the walls and shelves I didn't get up. I just clung to this stranger as I grieved. My body ached with the pressure behind my eyes, the headache from the noise, the burning nerves in my arms and the shooting pain from my knees but most of all my throat ached so badly that I could hardly swallow. Eventually the sirens finally faded and only thing left shaking was my breathing - well I was probably hyperventilating.conceptual Salvyee and Gaven on the day of the Break Off; Salvyee was an ambassador for his tiny village visiting the city of Boulderdash and having an interview with Gaven when the village was destroyed in a natural catastrophe, talk about a bad day. :/ I also just wanted to draw these guys again, yes they are both guys, and I ended up drawing Salvyee sniveling into Gaven's dress shirt. Aww. Technical I'm always striving to achieve more imaginative colorschemes and play with stylized coloring so I attempted this. The gold lines are my attempt at alluding to those window blinds and even though Gaven should be lit up more then Salvyee I wanted to make him the first thing you looked at so I made him the brightest part of the image. I chose green to allude to a unsettling, sick feeling amidst an otherwise warm evening lighting. Buuuuuut, I'm sure this is all lost to most viewers because I'm terrible at assuming the audience knows what I do about the scene. x,,,,D Gaven & Salvyee are part of the Otherworld and belong to me.
